Anyone still use CD players?
    #7472757 - 10/01/07 02:09 AM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Most of the people around my area all are ipods and mp3 players, I seem to seem to be the only one around here that still uses a cd player.

I don't know..just enjoy listening to an album in its totality the way the artist intended it as (also the reason I try to buy CDs when I can). Not that I dont have any mixed cds or anything, but I feel for me an ipod with just a bunch of random songs all the time would be akin to having multiple chapters ripped out from many different individual books. Although I know I could just easily put whole albums on one, something about the now seemingly old school cd player that I prefer..not to mention ipods seem to be unusually highly diffective..

I use a CD player but it has a feature where if I burn a bunch of MP3s to a CD it will read them, the MP3s can be put in folders too so when I hold down the skip button it changes folders. Usually all the albums from one artist will fit on one CDR.

I always feel like people think I'm really behind the times when they see me with it though.

Yeah I have a similar feature on my cd player as well.

Haha I know what you mean man..I get strange looks on the bus to or back from school with people around my age and generation.

Just wait 5-10 years if still using one, for the real good looks/comments/states of disbelief/disgust haha. Wish I'd see more people with those first big blocky cellphones, but I doubt any would function with present cellphone providers.
