i was wondering. since mushrooms need oxygen and give off c02, and plants need c02 and give off oxygen. is it possible to cultivate them both indoors in an isolated area?
just a thought...

In addition, mushrooms want near 100% humidity, and few plants can tolerate that. Furthermore, the houseplant soil will grow lots of green and other molds.
Here's one of my previous experiments. This is Mexicana A strain. RR

i was thinking of using hydroponics, with expanded clay pellets as a grow medium. which would create algae...harmful???
i know a flower that could take the high humidity, throughout it's vegative, and well into it's flowering stage of growth...cannabis.
could salvia divinorum be an option? i know that requires extremely humid conditions to grow.

Maybe, a cutting is a little more difficult to sterilize than a seed, but salvia is a pretty hardy plant IME. I don't think it would be worth it to fool around with things like that though.

This might be right up your alley anthony http://www.co2boost.com/. It's basically compost that has been spawned with some kind of high c02 producing strain and put into a bucket with a airpump on top for pumping it around the area .You could prolly build one yourself with a little ingenuity and you would need to find some info on what strain their using maybe King Strophoria?

excellent. thanks man. i also found this tek...
"Hi all, i wasn't sure if someone has already written a thread about home made C02 so here it goes, to make home made C02 you will need :- Bakers yeast, Sugar and tap water. To begin you can use an empty drinks bottle (i use a 1.5 litre bottle), fill it with 3 quarters water and add Bakers yeast (powdered or solid) i use solid as you can get it from most bakeries free, and add 2 teaspoons of bakers yeast or 1 packet of powdered yeast and add 2-3 teaspoons of sugar and screw the lid on (its important that the lid is air tight) and leave it for about half an hour, once it has been left alone for half an hour go and give it a shake and hopefully you should be able to see bubbles in the bottle. Remove the lid and make a hole in the centre of it (approx 1-1.5 cm) and screw the lid back on, there you go you now have home-made C02 just place the bottle below you plant pots, after 7-10 days the process will have to be repeated from scratch. Hope some will find this useful Peace out"
is this worth trying as well?

An Isolated area OUTDOORS.
Tall plants that get O2 from head level, and some way of keeping a mushroom friendly climate at ankle level.
Maybe on like a deck or gazebo/arboretum. Not in a closet or a spare bedroom.
