No. Distilled water has no minerals and spring waters often are full of minerals. For this reason you cant use one instead of the other quite often.

so you have to buy specifically distilled water? it should be right alongside the regular(spring) water right?

Yes, it is labeled as distilled water. 'Drinking' and 'Spring' water is not the same as distilled.
If you are making cakes, dont sweat it. I did a double blind experiment with cakes and water types. I found no difference in the end yields between distilled, drinking or tap water. (but your tap water may be different, I think spring, distilled, or drinking will be fine for you)
