Quick questions on bulk substrate

1. Do you need to provide additional humidity for the fruiting chamber or should the bulk substrate provide that?
2. During fruiting, does one keep the chamber sealed (with tinfoil or plastic wrap on the top of the bin) completely, aside from taking it off to do FAE?
3. How often/how long should FAE be performed during fruiting, and is it necessary to provide extra humidity right after doing this, or should the substrate moisture compensate for that?
Thanks

1. The bulk substrate should be at "field capacity". What kind of fruiting chamber is this? Also, if you are already talking fruiting chamber, that means your bulk substrate has a casing layer on top right?
2. Once again, what kind of fruiting chamber is it. Are you using perlite? If so, the perlite will provide the required humidity if the chamber is sealed with plastic or tin foil
3. Depending on the size and type of the mystery fruiting chamber, you should provide FAE anywhere from 3-8 times a day. FAE is a non-negotiable.

Fruiting chamber will be a rubbermaid bin
Vermiculite casing will be on top of substrate once substrate is colonized (I haven't even started, just want to make sure about this all)
Substrate will be hay and store-bought compost, with a possibility that some coir will be in there too.
I haven't come across any suggestions on perlite in my reading about bulk substrate. As far as I knew, the bulk substrate itself should be able to provide humidity. I wanted to make sure this was the case.
Would it make sense to put a layer of moistened perlite at the very bottom of the rubbermaid bin? Or do you not do that with bulk substrate?

Only if the bin was inside another bin. (perlite question).
Depending on the size of the rubbermaid bin and the depth of the bulk substrate you could get away with anywhere from a 1/2" to 2" casing layer.
The casing layer will protect the substrate from drying out. Remember that relative humidity in the bin should be kept very high. How you accomplish that is up to you. Some people seal it and open it up several times a day to provide FAE. Some people make monotubs, etc. etc.

Yeah I plan on doing a "monotub"
Seems like a very easy and productive method. I LOVE how it is possible to do these things without dealing with the hassle of a humidifier.
Thanks a lot for the tips shroomy1, I appreciate it
