We really need to know more about your setup, procedures, etc... before we can begin to try and diagnose any kind of problems. Fill us in and then we can see what's going on...

The jars are sittign in my bedroom in a shoebox and the temp in my room is around 74-75. That is my incubator. I put spores in jar a week and 5 days ago.

Were the jars completely cooled before you inoculated them? Are the holes taped over? Did you inject the spores against the glass or into the center of the cake?
There are A LOT of possible ways you may have messed up.
Perhaps the syringe was exposed to high temps? You may not even know if it was.

If you have any spores left make a Liquid Culture... Or five.

Sounds like a bad sample. Syringe prolly sat in a mail truck too long. Who knows.
Search the board & main page for "liquid culture" or "LC made easy"
Basically 4% honey and 96% water. Going by weight makes it really easy if you have digital or kitchen scales. sterilize ala PF Tek, and let cool.
See if your spores don't germinate in that. If they don't then the spores are dead.
Did you shake the thing up good before inoculating. I forget sometimes, but it's no big deal. Still get something in there.

It can take upwards of two weeks for germination to show sings of life. If the stuff was packed down it would take a bit longer. The teks say to give them one firm palm slap, but i dont even do that. i gently load the jars with a fork. and I try not to handle them too much or sit them down roughly.
This is why cakes sucks. Can't wait for my pressure canner.

I agree with Major... the spores may have deteriorated from heat/light, or maybe they are good and are taking a while... though you should have seen something by now... just a speck at least. The only thing you might try is putting them on top of your fridge and cover them up... or something else to bring the temps up to around 80. This will speed things up. Or if you gots some cashola build yourself an incubator. Good luck!

Ok, does that mean that you ordered a spore print, then made a syringe? If so, did you let the spores re-hydrate for around 48 hours? That statement could change everything. How did you make the syringe? Opens up a whole other world of possibilities.

Id definatly just give it time. Room tempreture will slow it down try and get it up to 80 that will speed up the process.

That would work perfectly. It's always a good idea to monitor temps in places like that first, but I highly doubt a refrigerator is going burn up your babies. It's usually the first suggestion people use so I'm sure your good. If it feels to hot towards the back then just slide the box further towards the front. Theres bound to be a sweet spot some ware up there.
Hopefully your LC takes off so you'll have a nice quick next grow.
You didn't expose that print to unsterilized air before going in the glove box did you? And you flame sterilized the needle before making the syringe, right? Personally I just fill the syringe with water and steam it wrapped in foil. Then I can just toss it all in the G/B without unwrapping it. I never need more than a syringe full, but I think I'd do it that way with multiple syringes too.
By now any contaminates would prolly be stinking up your shoe box so I'm not thinking your sterile practices are bad at all.
But you should have seen something by now. That LC will clear up a lot of questions. If it's still just spores after a week those spores are dead. And you can incubate that LC on your fridge too.
