Horse Poo Pasteurization Question RE: time

Oh, believe you me...I've searched and read a lot about this one.
In one of Roadkill's threads he suggests pasteurizing the poo for 30-40 minutes (once the temperature has reached 165oF-175oF)
What is the OPTIMAL amount of time at this temperature... ...to ensure OPTIMAL spawning success?

There is no optimal time other than what is necessary to kill the mold spores and most of the bacteria. I use 1 hour after the center of the substrate reaches 140F, and don't allow it to exceed 160F.
Spawning success will depend on the quality of your spawn. RR

The quality of the spawn could be better...I need to order plates to obtain an isolate.
The substrate: I stuck my nose in the bag of dry, shredded poo, and the earthy smell made me flashback to times as a kid playing in the dirt during rainstorms. Ok-ok, it wasn't just the SMELL that did THAT.
Anyway, thank you for a timely reply. I've been working on that Stanley-pasteurizer project, and I did a test run with a bag of casing material. The temperature only got up to 167oF (which is good), and it held this temperature quite well.
I will be posting a thread here later with pics and asking for more comments. If you will be around then Rodg'...your opinion on that too would matter greatly.
Thanks again,
RM
