That's what makes drinking almost not worth it to me. It's fun but I get almost suicidal like really depressed when I'm hung over. I guess that's why I mainly stick to pot.

When I had anxiety attacks the doctor told me that heavy alcohol use reduces your serotonin level or something. Also the same thing with pot. This leads to depression?
I feel pretty lame when I'm hungover too. Like I don't want to do anything, like I can't do anything, etc.

Unless I get really trashed and hung over I feel pretty damn good in a weird way. Like the main physical pains are gone and my stomach is completely empty, kind of feels like cleansing or something... I always seem to do strange things like go to the gym, or cleaning, anything that makes me feel better about myself basically.
But I whole fully agree that drinking does nothing but worsen your problems if you are trying to escape, what a horrible cycle that is.

Depends how hungover I suppose, but generally not depressed , can just get really out of it for the first couple hours of the day. Over the summer, was drinking quite a bit and got into hangover prevention experiments with taking vitamins with gatorade or any other good electrolyte replenishing drink before going to bed. Worked quite well! Gotta keep your body somewhat happy if you are expecting to be happy as well methinks.
When I was younger, I would for some reason always get up early after a night of drinking and feel almost energized, but in a weird tired kind of way similar to what LukeMWski mentioned.
