Humidifiers - NEED your opinions

The V5100 model humidier gets the job done no doubt, but what about a smaller/cheaper model such as the V745 or other lower models? Will this get the job done just as well for rigging up tubing to pump moist air into two FC's, or will it not be good enough?

Its going to depend on how big your 2 FC's are. I believe the 745 is evaporative, in which case it wont work
I use the V400 and it works great.

Fairly big, but pretty standard size as far as storage bins go. They are both roughly 23" x 13" x 13"

Pretty neat hole drilling there. Just use four inches or so of well drained perlite. That's far easier than fooling with a humidifier. Save the humidifiers for when you build a mini-greenhouse. RR

I do use perlite, but I don't have time lately to do the hand-misting multiple times a day. I was hoping I could get a small humidifier and run tubing into my 2 FC's and just let it do it's thing so I don't have to mess with it (other than periodically refilling the humidifier)

I think that 1 Vicks 400 with 2 hoses ran from it would be more than adequate for 2 FC's of that size.

There is a tek on here about it. Its actually very common.
You take a 5/8'' drill bit and drill 2 holes at opposite corners, then attach your hoses. Its pretty simple. I use duct tape to help seal the hoses.

No problem. Ive used my Vicks 400 for a good 5 months with no problems. Just make sure to change the water frequently. Every week or 2 I take it completely apart and clean it, it sometimes gets this orangish slime start to build up.
