To deal will physical anxiety and mental worries...

what would you say is the best medication?
I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to ask for a referral to get an MRI done to get a better look at an fassial layer issue which I'm getting massage therapy for. Last time I went the doc suggested he give me a prescription for some drug like clonazepam or xanax, but I said I wanted to avoid drugs, as they brought on my anxieties which brought me to this messed up state in the first place (I didn't tell him that part).
But now I'm constantly in a huge amount of pain from my shoulder to my inner thigh, along the trajectory of the messed up fascial tissue, and the massage therapy, while progressing things is also making the pain more acute as the harderened state things were in is being unsettled and I'm not so numb to it.
I want something to ease my mind and body that will not prohibit clear thought, but improve it, as one of the biggest areas of promise I have is in meditation, which provides good releases as thoughts are worked through. Concerning meditation, tho, I'm having a horrible time getting anywhere now because the pain causes my mind to constantly stray from my thoughts and go back to the pain and worries, and so whatever meds I ask for I don't want to make it hard to meditate.
Any advice?

no, go with pot. you don't have to deal with those psychiatrist fucks, and it's probably cheaper than buying medication.

youre going to have to going to have to use benzos cus there really isnt anything else for that. unless you want to try an antidepressant, benzos are your best bet i would think. opioids would chill you out and get rid of the pain also but you deff dont want to go down that route especially when the physical pain you have is being manifested by anxiety.

vicodin def had to be used with moderation [as i sit back with a cig enjoy my high from it, lol] i could see a benzo being used with more control to ease mind and body , but depends on theperson. i'm in the same boat with you. i have horrible horrible back pain, and its too mcuh to do anything sometimes let alone meditate. good luck, you'll find something that works for you.

Flower extract seems to help with anxiety for me.. I have friends who use it too; you can get stress relief or calming formulas. It's usually at stores that sell herbal remedies.
Also, calming tea tends to help.
These don't hurt clear thought at all, but they don't make you think clearer either. And they don't do anything for physical pain normally. But they relax without drowsiness.
Oh, and pot is good too, but that does definitely prohibit clear thought, at least for me.
