what'll give you visuals at work.
    #7462488 - 09/27/07 10:51 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

had a very odd experience today at work.
i have insomnia, so i'll go a week or two with no sleep at all, crash for half a day and start up again. around day 4 or 5 i'll see trails on a lot of shit. its been like this for years and years, i have a lot of stupid ass doctors [another story another day] i've mastered sleep depervation.
on top of that i have ridiculous back pain so i'm always stocked with some vicodin. the last couple night i'll take 15mg of codone or more depending on my prescript. and do what insomniacs do best, shower and go to work in the morn. normal day for me.
grab my large coffee with a espresso shot [i got the hook up] and check my email.
i look at the wall and catch a glance of a frog with a crown [for some reason i see this same frog/toad with crown and staff a lot] like what the fuck?!? like a med/low mushie trip but not as clear, blurry.
i didnt feel anything, just saw shit. lasted about an hour or so.

does anyone else here have insomnia? i dunno if it was the combo of coffee lack of sleep and the vic, but i thought it was interesting, made my drab office prettier.

Sleep depreviation is definitely one of the weirdest and uncomfortable trips I've ever had.

yeah it can get um pretty intense sometimes. once in a while i'll be at the table eating something, nod off for 30 sec and look up without noticing. that freaks folks out.
but funny thing is i dunno if i would want a normal sleeping pattern, maybe when i'm older.

i'll sleep when i'm dead.

i have million and half hobbies, lots of drugs. i knit, read, research, movies... try to sleep, ddr to the max, internet. i keep busy.

i used to, still do sometimes. but i grew up almost never sleeping so it was much worse in the past. dude, dont you think theres a reason behind you not being able to sleep though? have you tried everything?

my sleeping goes in stages every few months or so. sometimes i'll i'd sleep for two hours at 5/6 am before classes and be late for my 9am class or crash and sleep for 15 hours on a saturday.

i think its cuz i over think things, alot. i cannot put my mind at rest. and i always feel like i have something to do, but end up procrastinating, doing random shit and feeling guilty cuz i should of used the time to do something i needed to.

i've tried everything i can think of... from drinking tea, working out, ambien [but i'd usually stay up purposefully on that ] herbs. yoga, meditation.... things work but nothing has long term. it would have to be a daily conscious effort and for whattever reasons now i dont wanna make that commitment.

you're obviously batshit insane. i sleep 10-12 hours a day, and i start getting very uncomfortable being awake more than 16 hours.

so your exsistence scares me.

I've had chronic insomnia since I was about 13. I've been on multiple medications to try and rectify it, I also had one doctor suggest a surgery. I just decided one day to suck it up and deal with it, figured I would have more time to get stuff done anyways.

I love Fight Club. For pretty much the first 1/3 of the movie I sit there and go "Yeah, oh man, I totally hear that..."
