ID these central florida finds
    #7461993 - 09/27/07 08:30 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Found in the middle of an extremely wet cow pasture. Growing from rotting grass, orange-ish gills and stem. No noticable blueing. Stronger smell than the cubes that were found there. Working on a spore print now, but looks like it will be very light in color.

let me help a bit on the description.

Bruising looked to be reddish brown, but not quite sure.

it was coming from the ground, Not sure if there was any poo present in the dirt, as most the pies melted with the latest rains.

Im not sure about describing the gills. I dont have a good camera or else i would have taken them with me to photo.

Bong

I think they are T. furfuracea. I got that from another post and I see them all the time.

Well, I'm not going to eat them. I try to avoid liver transplants whenever possible.
