alight I'm really anal retentive and have been posting pics in this forum pretty frequently of my rye jars and their progress I shook these up around 3 days ago are they ready to be cased??:


also there is a weird looking drop of yellow liquid in one of my jars...anyone know what this can be?

Look ready to me. The yellow is nothing to worrie about. Forget the correct term. Had alot in my colinaized hpoo. O yea Metobites or something like that.

thanks man think I'm gunna wait till sunday just to be safe
while I have your attention few more questionable jars:
this one has this weird blackish crusting on the inner wall of the jar in a lot of places..contam?

these two have a sig. amount of black kernels...is this ok? I did some searches and seems like it may be ergot?

Don't know. I would let it go a little longer and see what happans. Was it darker like that after the PC, might just be a little done.

I don't know about the "black crust" maybe that was in there before you PCed. But the last two look like wet rot to me. When you've got spots that look wet and slimy it's probably no good. Too much water in the jars is likely the problem.
