September is the month of the flowers in Mexico , no like some of the woods of the north when the spectacular show of flowers is in spring , here in the end of sumer and the beginning of autumn, mushrooms always grow more in the periphery of the woods, why? is because in this places is more easy for spores to fall and colonize, because rain more in this places , is because is some sort of destruction in this areas than make more nutrients and food for the mushrooms , , is the big forest of Mexico , in the center of the woods i mean i perfect close woods, not to many mushrooms are, this have a correlation with humans perhaps, why mushrooms grow more where people go more frequent in the woods, are people, reproducing then , i guess yes, mushrooms appear more close to the edge of the wood for many of this reason , but until we know for sure here are a few picture from the woods.

The only place I find Blewit's is, right on the edge of the field where the wooded areas start. Every single time.

wowitch17 , yes, the cult of mushrooms have been keep well secret in some places in the mountains of Mexico , the most know places are in Oaxaca as you know but are not the only one , in many places, this culture is keep in secret only for the chosen one ,this has been like this since long ,long, time ago, in some places the religions destroy the cult in other blend in to Catholic religion, for others , is just a matter of legacy from the grandfathers, what is true is indias do not use the mushrooms in the way we do, thats for sure, they used, mostly when they are sick , most illness comes from the mind, also , when they need a guide in their life, never recreational or in day light always at night , shamans are the one that use mushrooms but in a house the hole family can use then even small baby kids, so the ceremony is for a reason, with all the respect they deserve, sometimes mushrooms are cut by a virgin and take to the church to give the blessing i have seem it and have done it , remember set and setting , all matter imaging the vision you could have when all this connect in a purpose, and what in a high purpose do you see what could happen , i sometimes think the world is still in motion because of the dreams of this people they are the one that protect the earth, we are just having fun , or like kids, but they can make mountains with their minds ................. boletus pinicola
 chanterelles cibarius
 boletus sp.
 amanita flavoconia
 stereum or trametes maybe
 this look like flammulina
i also found this mushrooms can anyone id i will make a drawing
some are take from the supplement of the monograph of the genus psilocybe
this one is from nuevos registros en Mexico de psilocybe
to give a touch of reality i use the latex of lactarius indigo it work wonders , note the differences of blue you can get
 have a good day
