attack of mold

ok i half 6 half pint cakes that started to grow mycellium and then couple of days later started to grow mold. what is the best thing i can do for the cakes to save them. right now they are still in the growing chamber?

Search for Bleach Dunk Tek. I would post a link but I'm too lazy to search for it, plus why should I do all the work?

Well the best thing to do would be to post this in the contam forum. The 2nd best thing to do would be to tell us what kind of mold it is. The 3rd best thing to do would be to throw the jars away....sorry!

Mold can be very dangerouse to your health. The safest thing to do is toss them in the garbage, but if you really must save them the bleach dunk tec would prob work fine.

mix 1 part bleach to 100 parts water,
that's 2.5 tablespoons bleach per gallon of water,
and spray/mist/dunk the affected areas.
a dunk of 5-10 minutes will kill most nasties
while leaving the mycellia unharmed.
