Salvia Afterglow

Since my first salvia experience a few days ago I've noticed a few good things. During my brief trip, I noticed that my "self voice", the voice you talk to yourself consciously with in your mind, was how I was actually talking. I BECAME that voice, and spoke through it. Ever since then, I've found I have the profound ability to silence that voice at will. Previously I'd be up all night, thinking and thinking to myself, stressing over the details of today, of tommorrow. Since salvia though, I have a profound sense of peace. Another thing I noticed, was that orgasms during sex have become MUCH more intense. The climaxes of pleasure almost seem to pause rhythmically at the height of their intensity. Has anyone else noticed these differences from salvia?

I'm not even really sure if it was the salvia - though this new feeling during orgasm is definitely new, and I can only guess it's from the salvia as all I've had lately is some dxm and the usual wake and bake. In any case, I'm stoked about the changes, particularly with my inner voice - I'm a perfectionist and am often telling myself things way too often so I'm glad I could finally shut that voice the fuck up and relax sometimes.

yeah salvia's an interesting drug. whenever Im on it I feel extremely focused, like my brain has been tuned to work in a really efficient manner, and when I talk I feel like Im talking with more sense and more concisely than I would be sober.
the salvia gravity effect is enough to turn me away from it most of the time though

I love salvia afterglow. Calm and full of purpose. Just feeling right. A clarity to life that's subtle but strong.
Some have called it windex for the brain.

That's weird I felt like I just appeared completely psychotic. Salvia basically reduced me from a rational sentient being to a giggling corpse. I think I know what you mean by the gravity effect though, and can definitely see salvia's effects precluding people from enjoying the afterglow. In it's defense though, I've never had an out of body experience as profound and amazing as I had on salvia

I've never had an OBE before, how did you manage it on salvia?
was it just plain leaf?
Edit: Probably wasn't plain leaf, got this confused a bit with the other salvia thread.

Salvia trips are usually rather unpleasant for me. The feeling of repetition of the senses (as I've seen described by others) often manifests as a sense of having a jackhammer in my head. I've had several experiences of split-reality - that is, I'll open my eyes and be aware of the room I'm in and who I'm an, but then I'll close my eyes and be somewhere and someone else entirely, always aware of both realities. Unfortunately, I've only had one split-reality experience that wasn't rather unpleasant.
Lately I've only been smoking the high-power extracts (15-23x), though. I'm considering giving 5x or pure leaf a shot again.

I'm not really sure how I managed it to tell the truth. But you definitely know it when you've had one, they're fucking profound. My friend and I were sittin while I tripped a bit and "I" slowly floated up out of my body and watched us sitting there. Suddenly, and I don't know how else to describe it except that my conscious "self"/perspective flowed back into my body in an instant - from my head down to my toes. This was accompanied by a "holy shit, I just re-entered myself - what the fuck?" It was 20x purple sticky in a shorty bong.

I should really try picking up some extract sometime. I've been smoking some of an ounce that I got off ebay and I've had some solid experiences from it, and I noticed too that my sensitivity had become increased after smoking it over about a month period. The first few times I had to hit the bong like 4 or 5 times before it really kicked, but recently it was about 1 to like 1 1/2 and I'd be at the same place.

the way you talk about your self-voice indicates the kind of personality/mentality you are moving through life with.
this mindset is very compatible with the range of psychedelic effects of salvia; and your after glow is consistent for your mindset.

I can relate very well to your afterglow experience. I had very similar after my first few heavy doses.
It's not hard for most people to achieve an OBE on salvia either. I see many speak of being turned away by the gravity feeling etc... With a strong enough dose and a non distracting setting, that shouldn't be an issue for more than a few seconds before the everyday world is swept completely away, so long as you don't fight it. Just letting go and not fighting it is the hard part as it is a very fast and powerful drug.
The same dose that drags you off kicking and screaming to sensory hell can also float you away into bliss. You have to learn to not fear it and work with it. Trust me in that I know it's a lot easier said than done.
I took a crash course that I can't honestly recommend to everyone but it worked for me. Once I understood that it really wasn't going to hurt me regardless of how much I smoked, I kept experimenting with huge doses until I could reliably obtain the strongest effects just below the amnesiac level. After going through all of that for a while the lower level effects that used to be uncomfortable now feel great to me. I can enjoy a low level salvia high with great pleasure like many do weed or I can jump on in the rabbit hole.
Still though. Even after all of that I still get careless and once in a while and land on the other side unexpectedly and find it rough going until I catch up so to speak.
I also learned that the reverse tolerance effects turn back the other way if you use it too much. Too much is just too much and you have to take a break from it for a bit to recapture the magic.
