are azurecens and baeocystis very prolific around the PNW, I've found quite a bit of cyanescens the past few years in varied habitats- including some already this year, but never have i found a baeo or azurecen or heard of anyone else being so lucky.

In the past I've found many, many patches of stuntzii in industrial parks, lawns, barked landscapes etc. Is it quite possible that i've been just overlooking the baeo's, as unlikely as that seems!

Didn't you post pictures of baeos earlier this season?  I have found azurescens twice in olympia.  Once in a cultivated patch that was left for all to pick, and once in a seemingly naturalized patch in wood chips which I found the same day I found my first cyanescens and the azure patch was much much larger.  It happens.  I hear the coast is better for azures though.

you are correct, but this thread is from 2007. since 2009 i have found baeos every year, not a lot but they're around. they return for a few seasons at least from the same patch. I have yet to find azurescens or make a trip to the coast.
