This is my first post - so I hope I'm not too far off here, but does this look/read like an A. Pantherina?
[DISCLAIMER] - I am new to mushroom hunting, and I am *not* sure of the identity - don't rely on this post to identify mushrooms. [END DISCLAIMER]
Habitat: Growing underneath a deciduous tree at the edge of a temperate rainforest habitat viewable in above pictures.
Gills: The gill color is white to light cream, bruising brownish.
Stem: White in colour, with a white veil just below the cap. Note: the veil is not noticable in the photos, but it's distinctly there.
Cap: Brown to tan, with dark brown to tan warts.
Spore print color: Not taken yet.
Bruising: Bruises Brownish.
Location: PNW (Vancouver, BC, Canada) - Temperate rainforest
** Note - Mushroom cap is slightly darker than the photographs indicate **

I think its Chlorophyllum rachodes.

Thanks Allan - I believe you are correct - after taking a read over the description of Chlorophyllum Rachodes, and looking at other pictures of that species online.
That explains why it didn't *quite* look like any of the Amanitas - the closest was Pantherina, but then there aren't white warts and the colouration isn't right.
On cutting the flesh, it bruises orange-red, just as in the description on the Matchmaker, Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest website.
I'm learning a lot every time I go for a walk in the forest and browse the forums :-) Very interesting hobby.

Since I can't see the ring or the stem base in those photos, I can't be sure whether they are C. rachodes or C. brunneum, which are both very similar. The bruising suggests strongly that they are C. rachodes.
Since the differences between those species have only been described fairly recently, there is some uncertainty as to which (if either) sometimes causes poisoning. If you decide to eat them, eat only a small amount the first evening so you don't get too sick if you do get sick.
Happy mushrooming!
