Shroomery Ron Paul Supporters
    #7455875 - 09/26/07 02:03 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

Paul has asked us to help him raise a $500,000 boost, for his final 3rd quarter week. Watch the thermometer rise live time and do what you can, sending him even just $5 or $10 bucks.  Let's get it to another million by the end of the week!

Help spread the link around the internet.

Just to clarify, he needs the $500,000 by the end of September to surpass his previous quarter's earnings. If you support Paul, now is an excellent time to donate since it will show the media that his campaign is still gaining stream. I've sent $100 so far and I plan to send more. It's well worth it to help Paul spread the message of liberty and freedom to a nation where torture, undeclared wars, illegal wiretapping, the elimination of habeas corpus and deficit spending are becoming government policy.

Yeah, lets put another fundamentalist Christian in office. Not only is he a fundy, but he's a Baptist fundy. I don't support any candidate but I sure as hell wouldn't suppoert Ron Paul either.

Pauls campaign has already surpassed last quarters funds. This is just to help generate a last BOOST to the 3rd quarter numbers.

I already donated $85.00  this quarter! Sweet on your $100!

Let the media and GOP know you want him nominated! Money talks! Send some beer money and give your liver a break!

Paul more then any other candidate keeps his religion out of politics. He follows the Constitution ONLY. His voting record is proof of that! He firmly believes that religion is a church affair, not a government regulated one. Because of his Libertarian slant, and unprecedented dedication to the U.S. Constitution, he wants the government out of our lives!!!!! His message is about freedom, liberty and prosperity.

Other impressive facts.

In his ten terms in congress he has

NEVER voted to raise taxes

Has never voted for an unbalanced budget

Has NEVER voted to raise congressional pay

Has NEVER voted to increase the powers of the executive branch.

He voted against the patriot Act and Iraq War.

He voted Against regulating the Internet.

He has never taken a government paid junket.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.

He returns a portion of his congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year.

He has never taken Special Interest lobby money. Lobbyists know not to bother going to his office.

Holy Shit! It jumped $6,500 in the last 30 minutes.

He is electable! Check out these fund raising Straw Poll wins. These are polls where people had to get off their ass, get out and vote, and sometimes, buy a  ticket to make that vote-

here is what I dont get.

Ron paul is more libertarian than he is republican. He appeals to every libertarian, and many republicans and democrats. Why isnt he going for the libertarian party?
It would be a win-win. He could use their funds and voters, and they could use a strong, well-known candidate which would raise more awareness for the party.

Everyone, including RP knows that he isnt going to win the republican nomination and eventually going to run independant.... so why not go for the party that holds his values the most, and go for the 5% that is needed to become a nationally recognized party with federal funding?

I could be interpreting that wrong, but my vote has always gone to the candidate who I think can make america a tri-partisan nation.

I like Ron Paul... but damnit, some of his supporters are hurting his cause.

I was standing in line to see david cross at Bonnaroo and this guy with a darth vader helmet with a ron paul sticker on it was talking to some chick about Ron paul and this is what I heard: ".... yeah, Ron paul is awesome.... he like, votes against everything....".

I almost turned around and said "Gee, thats what i really want in a congressman, someone who votes against everything, so nothing gets done".

You should have turned around and said it.
I would have, that would have been entertaining.

because the way our lovely 2 party system is set up any 3rd party needs to do flips through a flaming hoop state by state to get on the ballot.

not only that, but by running repubelican he can get into the debates which just increases his exposure.

wouldnt it be easier to get on the state ballot by being a libertarian, rather than an independant though? because he isnt going to win the nomination.... seems like it would just help out.

yeah, but being a libertarian won't get him into the debates.

think about it, if he had been running libertarian all along, do you think any of us would know who he is?

I hope he never gets elected, not that he stands the proverbial snowball's chance in hell. He lives in a fantasy world.

I think he has the FIRMEST grip on the reality of National and International affairs of all the candidates. You sound like you have done nothing but listen to anti-liberty rhetoric, and never researched him more deeply on the issues.

Check this vid. He's so ON IT, he even has Bernake nervous.

He knows his shit and is very sound and sane.

Anyway, for those of you who already know he is the candidate with a firm grip on reality, here's a new RP tune some of you may enjoy.
