Need help identifying shrooms (just popped out of nowhere)

Hi - I'm new to this site and was hoping someone can help me identify this type of shroom. It just grew out of nowhere on my front yard. I'll post the spore print as soon as I can.

It looks a bit like Armillaria.
Take the spore print on tinfoil or black paper because it looks like it is going to turn out white.
What was it growing on? Armillaria usually grows on wood.
What was the texture of the cap? Any little fibers or scales?

Sorry cody...
I found it on the grass and when I look under it, it looks like it's coming out of some dead grass or little pieces of wood, it's not coming out of the dirt. The cap has some redish hairs on top, fiber type. The gills and stem are white/yellow. It bruises kinda blueish. The ring is red. These were found in south florida btw...

Ok, buried wood. Typical of Armillaria. The same fungus that made these mushrooms probably killed that tree.
> The cap has some redish hairs on top, fiber type.
Also typical for Armillaria.
> It bruises kinda blueish.
I don't think so. It might darken a little where damaged, but it won't turn blue. If it is still blue the next time you look at it, try to post a picture of the blue.
> The ring is red.
I guess it is sometimes...
> These were found in south florida btw...
These grow almost everywhere.
Its this one: http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Armillaria_mellea.html
If you decide to eat them (just food, not magic), make SURE the spore print is white first.
Also only eat a little at first, a few people are a little allergic to these.

Just want to add to Alan's last bit there, if you intend to eat them (confirm the spore print first!), be very sure to thoroughly cook them before you try them. Armillarias are poisonous if undercooked. To be sure, you are best off overcooking them (try sauteing them at least 20 minutes).
Happy mushrooming!

...and that's why a spore print is so important.
With that orange print, Gym. penetrans is about all that fits, no?
*Edit: No. I'm havin' a problem with that ring. I would observe the characteristics of the stipe, particularly the base and the gill proximity (notched would be good)
