so the martha is hooked up to a coolmist, with a tube going to each teir, i know an ultrasonic is good to hook up as well for keeping your casing layers moist, could i just place on of these inside of the coolmist and adjust with a timer?

its a mist maker

You mean inside the martha?
Most cool mists you can place inside a martha/greenhouse.
You CANNOT with an ultrasonic. They will fail if they operate inside a very high-humidity environment.

I dont understand how higher humidity can you get if the ultrasonic fogger is underwater?

The fogger is not the only device within the humidifier. If you insist on ruining your ultra-sonic, be my guest. There ARE posts about this already.

all you would have to do is keep the transformer out of the martha? the kind that are made for fountains .. not a contained unit is what i am talking about ..

so from what i gather from these responses is..a mist maker does not need to be put underwater to work. lol...
obviously the transformer would not go underwater..just the part that is MADE to go underwater.
thats the link i used to order the item, i ordered the first one. if i put the unit with the vibrating metal plate into the coolmist, would it not make the air coming out of the tubes even more humid, ontop of providing fae. with a timer to calibrate of course.

thats why I didnt understand his statement saying a ultrasonic would fail in a martha .. you just dont put the transformer in the martha simple !

amen brother. essentially, i would be using the water in the coolmist as the contaier for the mist maker..i know i could make a seperate container with even more tubes, but why not use whats available. at the worst i have to refill my coolmist more, and thats easily solvable.

I would use the ultrasonic to boost humidity when needed and the cool mist for FAE..

you dont need anymore tubes just place the transducer into a pitcher of water about 2 inches from the top of the water and it will flow out and your FAE will blow it around .. no need to complicate it more .
