At a loss...no mycelium

I just inoculated 5 more after eliminating a couple of variables that I thought could have been responsible for my last failure. So it's been 7 days since I inoculated my jars with Yellow Oyster spores. No signs of mycelium yet (one sign of possible contam.) This time I didn't put any tape over the holes when I sterilized, could that be a problem? I use a homemade glovebox that I doust with oust before i work inside it. ANY suggestions at all would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm at a complete loss as to why my jars aren't showing growth.
BTW - I don't have a PC I use a pot with boiling water.
could it be bad spores?

If the jars are in an incubator (and thus, 7 days is reasonable to see atleast a tiny sign) then almost certainly the spores are to blame assuming your inoculation procedure is sound.
Its a long shot but you haven't by any chance soaked these jars in a disinfectant have you? I've only seen plastics rendered useless by this but I thought I better ask.
Was this a vendor purchased syringe/sporeprint? What did you have to do with the process of getting/making the syringe?

yeah i ordered the spores from spores101.com. I had originally ordered blue oyster culture but they ran out so they sent me yellow instead. and no, i have not soaked these jars in anything. i also believe my inoculation procedure is fine. i use a small glovebox doused with Lysol, wiped with alcohol, etc.

yeah i flamed the needle but not with an alcohol flame. it was with a really small candle that fit in my glovebox. left a charred residue. does it need to be alcohol? do i not know how to flame sterilize? (i think i do)
after each jar i wipe with alcohol soaked paper towel, flame sterilize, then wipe it again? is that not correct?

Bad spores.
I had 4 out of 16 qrt that would not germinate. After a week I used another syringe on the same 4 blanks and germinated fine.
I was using 1 syringe to 4 qrt.

Did you have anything over the injection sites when you transferred your jars from the boiling water bath to your glovebox? I'm not saying that is the problem but it could lead to possible contamination.
I'd suggest getting some alcohol wipes for your syringe to use before you flame it just for added sterility.
7 days seems a little long to see no signs of growth. What spawn are you using?
