Liberty Cap Question

All the facts say to look in tall grass to find libs...but what exactly is tall grass? How tall are we talking about? Or does it really not matter that much? I have found one lib in the past week and it was young and growing in fairly untamed but short grass. I have done searches, don't antagonize me please, I am a noob just looking for help.

I've found them in places with very short grass but long grass is better because of the moisture and humidity.
It just means longer than a few inches not like grass you gotta wade through!

The spots where they are most likely to find, are the ones on fields, where the grass grows in little "bushes". Libs need a certain component of of pasture (dam nit, I forgot which one...), and because they they don't grow on manure directly (I think I remember it's too sour), the grow at the spots where shit laid the previous year.
God... that sentence sounds retarded...

Possibly, With my experience of lib hunting, I think your unlikely to stumble across them.
Its best to speak to local hippies etc and find out where they tend to grow.

When Liberty Caps grow on long grass, do you need to look through the grass to see them or do they normally grow above the grass?

usually they hover above the grass about two feet off the entire ground, glowing and calling you from across the field.
really shouldn't be hard to miss.

Hehehe
gENERIX: they tend to grow up to the size of the grass or a bit below that level. So you'll have to look between the grass a lot of the time, especially early in the season.

small tufts/patches of grass usually have more libs growing in or around them.
I had a strange feeling just before i feel asleep last night, it felt like i was in exactly the same mindset as i was when i found my first liberty cap, like a weird "calling" that the first lib had popped up from the soil. (COME AND EAT US!!! )

might add this is more likely to happen if you've already been out picking for a couple hours.
