Would 100% cranberry juice negate the effects of mushrooms?

I usually take my mushrooms finely minced in 100% cranberry juice and the effects have always been incredible. I have been told, however, that this method might actually be detrimental to my trip. Anyone know the scoop?

I've heard that the acidity in the juice helps break down the mushrooms in your stomach faster or better or something like that I'm not too sure. I've been told to drink a couple of glasses of 200%acidic orange juice, i haven't tried it but i will sometime soon

Certain acids in the juice convert psilocybin to psilocin, essentially doing your disgestive system's work for you. It can increase the intensity and slightly decrease the duration of a trip. Stick to the method if you like it.

its the vitamin C present in the juice.
Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant, which slows down the breakdown and oxidation of psilocybin/psilocybin by your digestive track, ensuring more active chemicals enter your bloodstream.

cranberry juice has flavonoids in it which have been shown to inhibit enzymes involved in breaking down many drugs in the body and stomach. hence alot more makes it into the blood.

Honestly I don't think Vitamin C has anything to do with it... although this has been debated upon for years.
I've tried just consuming vitamin c pills along side my dose - I didn't notice any increase in effect in comparison to dosing without. However, if I drink orange juice (which I always do) or soak my dose in lemon juice - the effects are greatly increased. Its all in experience if you ask me. I'm not saying that Vitamin C has no effect on the trip, I'm just saying I personally didn't notice a difference.
I've always agreed with the idea that the acids in citrus drinks begin to break down psilocybin into psilocin as EllisDsox had said. meaning that the come up is faster, the peak is stronger, but the effects are a little shorter.
