ill get pictures up in a little i gotta run some things down to DC, but my friend was walking his dog in the creek/bike path and inside the stump in root system of this old tree, friend took pictures from a cell, there were about 4 diff species of mushrooms, some yellow some brown in the same patch n they seemed to grow in a clump but they have light yellow wavy caps they look identical to cyans but instead of a cinnamon brown color they yellow. i kno its not much but gimme a hour for the pics. i just wanted sort of an idea of wat species resemble cyans but they are yellow in color also there were gills connecting to the stem. n there was no woodchips or mulch just an old hugh fallen tree.

a lot of mushrooms have a wavy characteristic in their caps. this is one of them. its just not cyanescens. go look at a lot of pics of cyans and youll soon realize the differences.
youre highly unlikely to find a bunch of cyanescens growing from tree roots too. someone correct me if this is wrong.
