how does this sound for long term preservation? (tips on how to improve?)

I am trying to store a few ounces of dried mushrooms for as long as possible. Here is the process. Let me know if there's anything I can change to make it more efficient / longer lasting.
step 1 - dry fresh shrooms on a screen with a fan, above a pan of epson salt that was cooked (usually takes 24-72 hours for cracker dry)
step 2 - put dried shrooms in ziplock snack bags.
step 3 - put ziplocks in a larger, air-tight "smelly proof" bag.
step 4 - put that "smelly proof" bag inside another smelly proof. (compressing all the air out best I can each time)
step 5 - put this bag inside a jar with tea-bags of desiccant, into the freezer.
I was thinking about getting a foodsaver to eliminate the need for triple bagging... any suggestions?

Sounds ok to me. Since your planning on long term storage you may want to put them in a desiccant chamber for a few days after you air dry them before you put them into bags just to be sure.

why not just put some desiccant in the bottom of a mason jar and throw your shrooms in a bag and put it in the jar. you could then put them in the freezer.
