Why leave it for dead on the side of the road?

My car is a compact sedan.
My car is totaled and unable to drive.
The office that gave us a lift sure as shit wouldn't want a deer carcass in his cruiser.
I had just narrowly missed being pancaked by a truck and so my mind wasn't on picking up the carcass of some dumb animal off the highway.
And finally I don't give a flying fuck about the deer's body going to waste. Last time I checked nature was still working its magic to take care of the dead bodies of forest animals.

Pointless story here but:

When I was 16 I was working the graveyard shift at a gas station along interstate 65 and a customer came in quite agitated who told me there was a deer in the bathroom (this was back when gas station bathrooms were outside). I was like WTF so I walked around the side, get close to the door and the first thing I noticed was blood fucking everywhere. All over the walls, all over the ceiling and pooled around the door. I take a peek in and see a doe on the floor in a calm state barely breathing covered in its own blood. The authorities told me that the deer was most likely hit on the interstate but no one reported it. Youd think that much damage to such a heavy lifeform would cause heavy enough damage to your car to at least get a writeup for your insurance company.

Deer are little pieces of shit man. You aren't a true Pennsylvanian driver 'till you hit a deer.

God deems it fit to bless you with enough food to feed you for a really long time and you let it go to waste and then whine about how you can't find the bright side

I already found the bright side. I don't believe I was "whining" about not being able to do so.

This god you speak of never "blessed" me with anything. Just because I didn't scrape some animal's dead ass off the highway doesn't mean it is going to waste. In time it will return itself to the environment in the form of nutrients for plants or other animals. Nature will find a way of utilizing the deer's remains far more efficient than I ever could.

You could have made a necklace out of its teeth.

You could have put the eyes in a box of raisin bran as a practical joke.

You could have sewn its intestines into a sweater.

Try doing that with plant food.

Well, they valued the car at about $5200. I'm pretty sure I only owe 3200 on the car, so minus the deductible I should walk away with about 1200-1500 to drop on another one.

VW diesel, here I come.

terrorize animals for greed?

we need to control their populations because we are the supreme predators, we are animals. with less space for them....means we need to keep populations in check.....there are more deer nowadays because they adapt so well.

jonathen u strike me as a PETA freakazoid that would take a human life before an animals.

Human populations need to be controlled as much as animal populations do.
