Best Way to Cover Up/Prevent Stench

Ok so I just recently moved into a new basement suite, and up until now Ive had luck with the people who I rent out my houses with. In my other 2 houses Ive smoked weed often in the basement without any problems and my new upstairs neigbors seemed pretty cool. Anyway these people have been complaining about the smell making its way upstairs. I apologized and they said they didnt mind it as long as they didnt see it or smell it. So at first I though sweet, I'll just smoke outside, but now I got my neighbors bitchin at me becuase I got a chain link fence in my backyard, not as private as I thought it would be. Im now on my third day in a row without my gonj and in a pretty pissy mood to be honest. I dont want to move, my place is cheap and close to work, but mainly because I hate the hassle of moving period.
So now I ask you guys for any solutions for covering up the strong smell. I was thinking just using Febreeze, but Ive used it before and it doesnt work that well for cover-ups. Me and my bud growing up used to make these things called breathers, youd blow your smoke into a paper-towel roll stuffed with a sock, or toilet paper and then spray some cologne in it. Do you guys have any other solutions, thanks in advance.

you could fill the breather with laundry sheets like bounce and that works great or you could get a whole bunch of carbon filters...or a cheaper way is a gravity bong you can just blow the smoke outside
use this:www.gravityvortex.com
one of the coolest things ive ever smoked out of and it hits clean and fat and no sidestream smoke to worry about!

Put tubing that goes outside, with a fan in it maybe you can build some type of smell filter?

so easy man jsut get a bong load it one hit at a time, hold it in and blow it outside. They can only smell it if you smoke gaggers. Just smoke joints away from your residence and have a little bong for home.

Vaporize it! And...
I know what you mean, as I'm living in a four bed dorm for now, and when i smoke, I smoke with the guys that are cool, then I leave the room and leave all the other guys to come back to a room we basically hot boxed.
You could always get (or make) one of those ozone generators. They work for growing and make the house smell 'fresh'. Like after a thunderstorm.

incense is really helpful, keep a window open.
if you want to be really sneaky, get a really long peice of hose/tubing that leads outside away from your house. Every time you take your 'hit' just blow it into the tube. Have a couple that reach into your couch/smoking area, so its no great effort, just take the hit, grabthe hose and blow into it/ Make sure you got some kind of plug or something so the smoke doesn't come back out at you.
The vacuum cleaner works, but its too loud.
Incense works wonders, get the good strong stuff. Keep your window open. If you burn incense all the time, they will get used to it and wont notice the weed smell at all

Like someone said, load one hit at a time, blow all the smoke out the window or through a dryer sheet tube. If done properly, the dryer sheet tube works perfectly. In a pinch you can also exhale into a wadded up t-shirt (this will stain the shirt though.)

i cant stand incense. I used to deal with this all the time..
just goto walmart and get yourself a cheap pack of utility towels (like 6 for $1 or something).
Then, when smoking, just grab one, bite down on it and blow all the smoke into the towel. works wonders...
vaporizer could work too, but it doesnt really do much for the smell...
