I was lookin on ebay and im looking for a fairly easy kit. I dont have time to steralize anything. Or do any of the otehr steps. Im just lookin for the most fool proof way to get alot of mushrooms.
Heres the mycogarden looks really easdy and nice. http://cgi.ebay.com/Mushroom-Grow-Kit-automated-system-with-free-magic_W0QQitemZ270166534445QQihZ017QQcategoryZ20536QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
And here is this other kit that looks like i can grow alot.http://cgi.ebay.com/ULTRA-Mushroom-Growing-Kit-12-Jars-Grow-MORE_W0QQitemZ230175131266QQihZ013QQcategoryZ16710QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Which one would be the best one? Im only a beginner and have little experience. thanks

those kits are a waste of money and you could put together your own setup for less money

ya kits are gay do it yourself and you will have alot of shrooms. even kits aren't foolproof though i personally know a few people that have tried them because they were lazy like yourself and they just wanted to do this to make a few bucks, but in the long run with kits you never get out of them what you pay for them.

Im not lazy just dont have the time nor car to get all the items. Plus im not gunna buy a pressure cooker. Cant cook the jars here so i would have to buy a kit anyways. I wanna get the secon done i put. Looks like an average setup. So yea do you think it would be easy for a beginner?

don't grow drugs in someone else home fool. and like everyone said those grow kits are a waste, and i couldn't imagine you even taking the time to read the directions after you get. if you wanna trip go to the pharmacy and buy some dramamine kido.

I agree... i hate to burst your bubble but life aint easy...shit just doesn't get handed out on a plate for everyone everywhere. If you want something, then get off your ass and do it. Your post(s) immediately said one thing. You want everything, but dont want to put in anything. Not just growing shrooms... But life... isn't that way. Go out and buy a car... or beter yet, a nice suit, and go get a job, use the money from that to buy your car...then go about fixing your life up. You arn't going to grow ANYTHING if you dont put effort in. These people are good people, and have all said the kits are crap, that's caus they mostly are... go get a job...Your OWN house, and make somethin of your life. Growing mushrooms at home will get your parents in jail, and having your attitude tarnishes the whole shroom growing community. enough said.

buying a kit is MORE expensive then buying a rubbermaid container, using some empty jars you have around the house, and buying like $5 of perlite and vermiculite. Even if you do use it once, your better off doing the things on your own. That's why everyone said dont buy a kit, if money's concern (and when isn't it right?) it's much cheaper to just do things yourself, especially with growing shrooms. Look up basic "PF-Tek" n what not, type "lets grow mushrooms" into youtube, and watch the PF-Tek there. And look up the "poor mans pod" i've done my whole grow, for a little under $40. I know i've only got 3 cakes going at the moment, but it's just a run to get a clone happening, and do 2 nice big casings next grow. You can do it cheaply, but man...the way you put it, you shouldn't waste your money in the first place, coz whether you buy a kit, or whether you make it yourself...you still have to put in as much work. Goodluck anyways.

hey man just a pointer if money is a problem you should go check out yardsales and goodwills if you have them in your area, the one by my house had 3 8qt cookers i bought 2 of them for 4$ total..i would have bought the other but the weight was missing off the top and none of the other ones would fit on that model so i didn't buy the third one...and find some old ppl having yard sales if you can't find any jars ask them if they have any inside they want to sell...almost all old ppl have some in their cabinets...you'll get more for your money by doing it yourself and if you only want to grow once then just pack up your stuff throw it all in your rubbermaid and pack it away incase you change your mind later. atleast you won't have to throw down a ton of money for a kit every time just 15-20$ for a syringe and some BRF/verm.
good luck

I had a terrible experience buying a kit... if you want my 2 cents I'd strongly nudge you to look into the Tub in Tub set-up. They're:
a) super-easy to make b) probably cheaper than the terrariums you buy online c) more versatile (compared to the one I got), and importantly, d) AS BIG AS YOU WANT THEM! The terrariums you think will be a decent size may be disappointingly small when they arrive.

You don't have to use a PC with the pf tek that RR showed you on Youtube. You can just get a large kettle and steam sterilize. You'll just have to sterilize it longer than with a PC, but those are the things you run into when you take the lazy route! Also, there is no set formula for how many dried grams you'll get off of a cake, if you even get one dry gram. so people hardly get any kind of a pin set on their cakes, and then others like that freaky cake put up by Peaceandlove, was a freakin monster. It all depends on your setup and a ton of other variables. Just looks like your lookin for the easy way out, and chances are you're gonna get less than stellar results! Goodl luck

the only things i buy are sterilized jars with substrate already in them or mycobags and recently some liquid culture kits. That is just because i have no pressure cooker and the stuff I get off ebay is sterilized in an autoclave which is awesome and worth my piece of mind to be totally sterile.
