how long can a mini salvia cutting last in a beaker of water without starving for nutrients? how long do the roots have to be before moving it into soil? thanks

it wont starve... should have enough root to pot up after a couple of weeks in water, perhaps sooner.

ok allow me to reword...

after about 2 weeks, your cutting should have grown enough roots, so then u can put it into soil >>> "pot up"
