They clapped
    #7448250 - 09/24/07 04:22 PM (16 years, 5 months ago)

The president of Iran visited D.C today...

During his speach he told everyone that the president of the university basically called him ignorant for trying to visit ground zero, and coming to America to give a Speech. After he said this the students Clapped!

Its not a big deal but that will be the part of his speech that is played to his people...and he came here to try to prove to his people that he was Right..Now in his followers eyes he is, because even the Americans clapped for him...

This is stupid and now we are in for more turmoil in the middle east...which may not be a big deal to some...but for me, it is...because i can still get drafted..

So how do we get out of this?
We cant, even with a new president.
Because the presidents that will get the vote will also be the ones to stick in and continue fight ing the war and blamming bush for coming over to iraq...they will be to affraid to leave Iraq in that they will be the one blammed for letting terrorist take the country over...

I just hope everything smooths out, because if things go wrong America could be in big trouble.

Yeah, unfortunately the stupid Americans (who comprise the majority of the population) are only making things worse. The president of Iran comes to our country for a perfectly peaceful reason, and people do nothing but spit on the man. Its no wonder they hate Americans. Whatever happened to "do unto others as you would have done unto you"? What has the president of Iran done to us so far? Not a damn thing as far as I can tell.

Right but now he has a phycological power to his people...almost sort of a boost...because his followers saw that even 'americans' clapped for him because what he said was 'right'

I mean todays world is so different than it used to be...its more about force then sitting down and talking out a solution...

I wouldnt be surprised if we ended up at war with iran..

Sort of like the psychological power our administration has when they scare us with things like Terror alert levels and emergency speeches?

Yeah thats a good point..but in america we are very much individualistic...but in iran they listen to there president and follow him more than we do here...

Also what was he trying to tell americans by trying to visit ground zero??
He wants to start something, because i think he knows that if we go to war with him he will have other countries side with him.

From what I understand, Iran's population is mostly young people. Young, liberal-minded (in comparison to their elders) people. I would be surprised if my counterpart in Iran didn't already know just as well as I do that governments have their own motivations and are not to be entirely trusted.

As for visiting ground zero, I think its pretty chicken shit of the US government NOT to let him make that stop. What do people think he's going to do, whip his dick out and start pissing all over the memorial like Ozzy at the Alamo? Be realistic.

You have really good points...

See the thing is, is that I want this to stop..along with so many others..
But it never will, because any president will be afraid to do so...they are afraid that there name will be pinned on the fact they left Iraq in turmoil..
It sucks because there are canidates for the election that are not afraid of this...but the canidates that will get the vote are..

I hope your right about Iran...He was over here for something more than a visit, and i dont think he was over here to try making peace between our two countries..

I'd be fine with them blowing themselves up and I mean all of them. Ultimately that's what they're gonna do anyway except for the ones that are bright enough to come here for free money that comes out of taxpayers pockets. No sense in having our troops over there trying to police a group of people who haven't yet passed the throwing rocks stage of evolution.

He was over here for the UN General Assembly, which just happens to be in NYC. Not to spy on the US or deface ground zero.

When rocks is all you have it does not indicate stupidity, it indicates bravery. I wouldn't throw a rock at a guy with an assault rifle

Yeah i meant terrorists...

Well I finally got some liberal coverage on what really happened during his speach..

He pretty much rambled about nothing important, and then was laughed at by the students because of some of his comments.
He stated 'Iran has no homosexuals' followed by laghter and boo's
Many think he made a fool of himself...and when the President of the university came up and called him a 'petty diplimat' the crowd cheered..

I dont think many people literally 'throw rocks' at american troops...
And yes if they did they are brave but stupid

Honestly I don't like the president of Iran much...

Isn't he the fucker who denied the holocaust happened? How the fuck do you manage to question that?

Hes extremely anti-semitic. I don't think hes trying to build nuclear weapons to fight the US. But I think he wants nuclear weapons so he has a fair fight against Israel. He really wants to fight them. The fucker is a little Adolf.

The president of Iran is just about as much an idiot as our leader but atleast he will answer un-screened questions.
