    #7447738 - 09/24/07 01:38 PM (16 years, 4 months ago)

In anycase, I took some pics of the mushrooms growing in

Pics 2, 3, 4 & 5 appear to be types of Russula (which i recently heard pronounced Rush-ula).

Pics 6 & 7 appear to be Lactarius hygrophoroides. It is a pretty darn good edible. It is relatively easy to identify, but be sure to do your homework on it before cooking them up..

I've heard:

Rush ula

Ruh zoo la

Russ ula

I prefer the first or last pronunciation.

I'm making spheghetti right now, hope it turns out good.
My general rule of thumb with my cooking is if the dog won't eat it, it's probably not edible.

That's really gross.... but I was thinking along those lines. Dogs eat a lot of things i wouldn't touch. In fact, I feed them what I don't want.
