i know, there have already been tons of threads about this topic, but i don't want to warm up old threads i'm very interested in what other people choose as their "perfect" trip music i'm totally into electronic music, always have been since my first encounter with marijuana, listening to moby - play and royksopp - melody a.m. while being very stoned opened up the doors of synthetic music for me today i'm into old school trance and very early psy trance, jungle, complicated breakbeat stuff, acidtechno, hardtekno, ambient, dnb (very limited though) and all that sort of stuff what do you prefer, when shrooming?

I think you need a few more choices here. I mean, a lot of psychedelic music doesn't fall into the categories listed there. Hell i'd be hesitant to even put a band like Pink Floyd into the Rock/Metal category. That's like clumping together democrats and republicans. Ya, they're both political parties, but they're super different. As is psychedelic vs. mainstream rock/metal or electronic. There's too many genres.
I happen to love real jazz (not that bullshit modern "smooth"/"lounge" jazz). I'm talking Miles Davis, Coltrane, etc. Never tried listening to it tripping though...
Now that rap/hip hop stuff... Who can trip to that..?

Godspeed you black emperor Explosions in the sky The smashing pumpkins (meloncholy and the infinate sadness only) and alot of times I play the same song on repeat while tripping because I find while tripping flow is everything. So for my one hit wonders: Islands Thom York(spelling probably wrong) Angels of light and I would really like to get some Tim Leary albums and see where they take me

Two words:
Grateful Dead.
Listen to the live shows, you feel as if you're actually there. Some pretty intense feelings arise just by listening to the crowds.

Jam Bands!
The Dead, Phish, Moe., Widespread Panic, etc will seriously space your face while tripping. If it is the Dead they might actually steal your face right of your head!

Math rock/noise (ex: Hella, Lightning Bolt) is intense as hell no matter what you're on, but electronica is my music of choice more often than not. I love making a playlist beforehand of hardcore, ambient, DnB, and speedcore among other things. There's just something about even the simplest of synth lines...

Zepplin, Floyd, Doors, Dead, Phish, SCI, most classic rock and jam bands. Psytrance/ambient is also usually played. I have Direct tv, and in the 800's are xm stations, Chill, Audio Visions(which im listening to now), The Loft, are among my favorites.
Audio Visions is awesome when I start peaking. All they play is simple instrumental music mixed with nature sounds, incredibly relaxing and calming. About a month ago, while peaking, it brought me to tears it was so beautiful sounding, just awe struck.
