Peyote growing environment

Can I grow peyote inside my room or outdoors? I get good sunlight and air in my room. If I grow it outdoors, should it be somewhere shaded from the rain or somewhere exposed? *I live in a tropical country. The Philippines. We only have the hot and rainy seasons. It rains a lot but when it's hot, it's hot!

Yes

or outdoors?
Yes
The seedlings should be kept shaded the larger specimens can take more light. Just make sure they neither stretch or go red

i live very close to you and get the same typhoons. they are good outdoors year round, but shelter them from the rain...its too harsh out here for them. i bring all mine inside when we get bad rains.

like nalim and kada said... the only things u have to worry about are too much rain and the intense tropcal sun burning them... they prefer a semi shaded environment anyway, so give them some shade when its really hot/sunny, and shelter when its raining alot

i am not sure if your country is exactly like here but for about half the year the afternoons have cloud cover and the sun is rather tolerable (the heat isnt though). the winter is clear sky so they may get burned a bit. i can keep them out in full sun most of the time, but sometimes its too much. a glass house (or roof) is ideal here. it stops massive uv rays and stops the water. you will need it above ground though. most people here use 4'+ benches to avoid floods.
ironically i found the canadian summer sun more harsh as its always clear skies, unlike here where there are often lightning storms in most of the afternoons.

Kadakuda, I think our environment is similar to yours. My room gets a lot of air and decent sunlight, so I think it's a good environment. I'm planning on growing them on pots. Is that advisable?

in your country you need pots. there is to much rain and they WILL die.
when i only had a few i grew them on the outside window sill that was facing the sun but had an overhang so it got shade too. i would put them outside and just bring them in if the rain is getting them. the humidity here is fine, but the rain is not! when i go out for a few days i just put up a rain barrier.
