When to transplant
    #7446600 - 09/24/07 04:14 AM (16 years, 4 months ago)

When should I transplant san pedro seedlings? Like how old should they be before I uncover them and let them receive air 24 hours a day.

i usually take mine out of high humidity when they are 4-6 weeks old...
if its green and hasnt consumed your seedlings then its most likely algae which is pretty much harmless to your babies...
just looks unsightly...
can transplant them into fresh medium anytime u like...

uarewotueat, do you just pop them out of the humidity chamber or do you acclimate them? as in you yourself. normally i acclimate any seedlings but you just made it sound unnecessary.

no, way too much nitrogen... "NPK of 15:4.4:10"
u want something with a low N content for cacti...
i wouldnt worry about ferts when they are so young anyway...
there should be more then enough in the growing medium to satisfy them for a while...

i dont acclimatise them, i probably should but im lazy so i just bring them straight out into normal humidity...
i keep the growing medium fairly moist for the first few months anyway, so i guess the humidity close to the medium is quite high...
