bagh. north carolina weather is silly. a week ago, things were beautiful. it was cooling down, you could wear pants and a tshirt without dying of heat exhaustion. all was well and i was totally digging the prospect of fall.
but wtf. this week we've hit 90 several times. tomorrow it'll be like 89. it's the end of september! i want fall weather back
also, i hate homework.

this past year in wisconsin instead of autumn we had two springs separated by a summer that lasted until october, and winter was just over 2 months long (it used to be 3 to 4)

Yeah, we get that here every year. We only get summer and winter. Theres never any subtle, friendly change. (Although our southern winters are apparently a joke to anyone north of Mobile.)
-------------------- My favorites are weeping willows, which aren't really weeping at all. They're very wispy, witty and will dance in the breeze with you. Nothing like a tree that wants to dance with you. Although it doesn't like its thin limbs being pulled at all, it absolutely LOVES it when you walk through them, letting them gently slide over your face and shoulders. If you're naked, the willow considers it to be sex. It will orgasm on your mind and you will blow dream chunks into outer space. All very fun until your neighbor sees you. -The Joekenorer

It does. Its only started happening in the past 10 years or so. Pecan trees fruit early or late, or right in the middle of winter when theres a week long heatwave. Pine trees are splitting and mutating way more than used to. Large plantlife in general is screwed up unless its being tended by someone. Doesn't help that International Paper is wiping everything out in thousand acre swaths through the forests here, replacing everything with pine trees and saying "We're restoring the ecology" just to disrupt everything and harvest it again a few years later. They've created a constant chaos among the wild-life, deer rarely return to the places they inhabited the year before. Their trails are sparse and thin due to the constant change in their environment which makes them wander with false bearings.
Jesus, I'm sorry about that rant. One thing led to another and I was off. Been smoking resin tonight.
