Hey there!
As a first post and first thread, I'd like to as you English cultivators out there if you know the cheapest chains/stores to get vermiculite and brown rice flour. More specifically in Bournemouth. I'm new to the country, and I've been thinking of growing some shrooms here, but I don't know where to get stuff.

i know you can get vermiculite at homebase for £4.99. (10kg) i havnt looked around though. i work there so i simply broke the bags (accidently on purpose) and hey presto.. they are unsaleable and freee for mee
as for brown rice flour.. its seems to be pretty hard to find. so jsut get some brown rice (fair trade of course ) and wizz that up in a coffee grinder or something similar.
where are you getting your spores if you dont mind me asking?

Homebase... I'll see if I can find it anywhere near me. Where should I get brown rice then? I got a friend of mine to order some spore syringes online.
Thanks alot for answering!

Hi guys,
Some of you may be happy to hear Spores101 and Mushbox will be shipping spores and media from within the UK, hopefully within the next few weeks.
If you'd like to get hold of mycology supplies and for us to let you know when shipping is operational, give me a shout;

Have fun, John @ Mushbox

you can get organic brown rice flour in any health food shop in most towns. i live in a small town and had no problem picking the stuff up. just look up your nearest health food shop and presto. saves grinding the stuff up...
