pressure cookers 1232308 thread lol

Hey i was just wondering what you guys use and why etc.
I want to get a pressure cooker for around 50-75 bucks but im really trying to keep it as close to the 50 end as possible considering i have other things to buy. I dont want a PC thats just gonna break down in 5 uses though either. Please dont fucking tell me to go to wal-mart because i hate wal-mart and will never shop there no matter how cheap their money grubbing business downing asses are.

Also for reference when i go to buy one; I will be doing quarts of wild bird seed, spawned to horse shit/mono tub.
I do have time on my hands but i was wondering about what size PC should i be looking at for quarts? id like to be able to fit at least 4 every run.

Well a pc for around 50 bucks that holds quarts won't be easy to fins. The best out are made by All American they will last forever. (My opinion only)

To fit four 1-quart jars you're looking at a tall-ish 10-12 qt. The good news is that above 8 qarts, most cookers go up to 15psi regardless of brand (no 10psi crap) .. a 16-quart presto is about $70-80 if I recall correctly. It was at some home appliance store, can't remember which one exactly. If you abhor walmart, Target sometimes carries them too, but I think their main brand is Fagor, which is going to be $150+ for anything over 6-8 quarts. They may have presto, I dunno, it's worth checking.

10-12 Quarts, preferably a taller one, otherwise sterilizing quart jars will be a pain in the ass.

Check ebay!! I got a 22 qt pressure cooker for $35-40 easily. Sure as hell beat the 80-85 dollar stuff from home ec. stores.
