September hunt pics pt. 2

Here's some more pics from recent hunts.
Sarcodon imbricatum (hydnum imbricatum, Hawk's Wing). These can apparently be quite tasty, however the ones I tried did not agree with me. Had a very bitter metallic taste. I had a bunch mixed in with rice and chicken, and ended up eating the whole thing. I burped up the nasty flavor the whole next day!

Hydnum repandum:

Cantharellus cibarius (didn't have camera with me, so here they are in a pan):

Boletus pinophilus:

Lactarius deliciosus (havn't actually tried these yet, but they're purty. Nice blue green staining):

Galerina autumnalis (deadly!):

Mycena galericulata:

?, could be the ones ToxicMan identified, but look different:

Some habitat shots:

Done. I think I'm gonna go hunting now, as it may be one of the last days of the season. Could snow up to a foot in the mountains by tomorrow.
PEACE.

Yes, nice clear pictures. Is B. pinophilus edible?

Uber, yes pinophilus is extremely edible. I find pinophilus and edulis around here, and I can't taste the difference between the two. Both are wonderful.

Yep, I think the season is just about over here. Snowed up in the mountains, so things will be slowing down, but it was an awesome season nonetheless. I took some pics today of mushrooms in the snow, which I will post sometime.

Very nice photos though.
