That's one hell of a question for a first post.
First off Welcome, if your not a puppet.
There are other forums here where the question you ask will be debated for days. But welcome to the pub, have some pumpkin Beer and tell us a little about yourself

Have you tried asking them about their life or how they are doing? I've found it's the best way. Many people won't shut the fuck up once they begin talking about themselves, which can be a good thing if you're not a fan of small talk.

Just tell them a few mundane things about work or school, then change the subject. That's what I do.

Sanskrit? That's pretty cool. A lot of Americans think intelligent people are inherently weird. Studying a language no one speaks anymore? That's just weird. There's something weird about that boy. Who does he think he's gonna talk to? If you don't do the same things they do, they wonder if there's something wrong with you. It never occurs to them that there may be something wrong with them.
But there's no harm in making your hobbies interesting to them. Tell them what fascinates you about Sanskrit. What you like about yoga. Help them relate.

why do you classify yourself as an introvert?
you say you have talkative days... some might call me introverted, and i don't have "talkative days"
i don't consider myself "an introvert", im different in that regard in many situations. you appear to be the same way.
seems to me it's more like "i don't want to look like a weird guy for having non-typical hobbies/interests"
you seem to be complicating this far beyond necessity.
but then again, i'm not disturbed by the difference in what i do compared to normal. if people ask, i tell them. if they inquire further, i tell them. very simple.
