Can I use this type of corn...its like corn in the cob without the cob...its frozen but can i let dry out...rehydrate PC and use as substrate?...its sweetened...not cream corn but sweetened

It will turn to a giant block of shit. You might as well try to grow from apple sauce. You can get a 50 pound bag of popcorn for a few dollars.

your right....Im gonna get the Kernals of Corn at the feed store...seems better then WBS or Rye..I think... ?

Popcorn will probably need practice to work with. Hydrating it seems a little more challenging than doing so with WBS or Rye. As a substrate, however, it's less messy, and works just as well as the other casing substrates.

It works fine and it's already at the right moisture content. We always cook our corn before loading into jars for the PC. Simply thaw, drain off the condensation water, load jars and PC for 90 minutes. The problem is that it's about 100 times as expensive as getting a bag of dry corn. In addition, corn makes a pretty poor grain choice if rye is available. RR

yep i heard it colonizes fast becuase the kernels are big and the flushes will be shitty cause the mycelium is weak
