went to N OR coast yesterday to do a little early scouting. As expected it is still a little early, as it has been fairly dry but any time now . . . need to see a little more rain than the trace-0.1" being reported on the rainiest days, which have been rare anyway thus far. The last onshore system kind of dissappointed in that respect.

No major signs of heat yet either lolz; did see one scraggly dude hiking on the road with a paper bag. Yikes, I would have felt quite exposed. Bag was probably empty anyway . . .

What the hell is wrong with me?  I live in Portland and I cannot seem to
find anything ever!  I found some random inactive psilocybe spp last
season and that was it.............  I need to find some patches.
:mad2:
I am going to be positive that it will happen. :royalrainbow:

Still pretty early to be finding anything, unless you know exectly where to look. I haven't had any luck in Portland, although some people did last year. I would look somewhere more beach grassy around the coast.

Your Ps semilanceata is the first temperate species I have seen reported this year thus far. Strong work...this week will be bringing many finds I suspect.

Hey curecat...that isn't normal to find cyans that early is it? Cuz this is my first year hunting and I know that in the next few weeks I should start looking but you don't suppose I could find any now do you?

...well, where are you?

These are the first photos of PNW finds for this year.. Others have said to have found some as well. Soooo, sounds like they're out there, but not in large numbers quite yet.

Whether you find any now is dependent on geography, luck, and skill.
