State and local investigators pulled about 30 marijuana plants from the banks of the Harpeth River west of Ashland City this morning, the most recent catch in a three-day, countywide drug sweep.
In all, more than 300 plants have been confiscated and destroyed since Wednesday, Cheatham County Sheriff John Holder said.
County investigators partnered with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, which conducted helicopter flyovers searching for pot on Wednesday, Thursday and today.
Holder said the marijuana found ranges in value from $1,000 to $3,000 per plant.
“We found more than I thought we would, since it was so dry this year,” Holder said.
As of Friday morning, no arrests had been made in connection with the drug sweep.

Like outdoor weed is bad? I've smoked some quality home growns that were outdoor plants.

So thanks to the Tennessee Highway Patrol those 300 plants worth of supply could possibly be replaced by supply from a foreign source. Foreign source means more money flowing out of our economy. Regardless of the fact that that economy is currently an illegal one, that money could have been kept in the the United States. This assumes, of course, that the grower and distributors are all based here.

I always wondered how one went about getting the job to destroy the plants.
