Yeah... frost and especially dark Cyans are absolutely no sings of an ending season. I've seen MANY of black fruits this year and there wasn't even any frost until now. Last year there were several days and deep frosted Cyans and they didn't even rott, but got back to normal, after the frosty nights were over...

somewhere recently i read a story on the forums here of someone picking cyans in the snow. So yeah. The season is still very young. Viva la mushrooms!

They told me last night that anyone who votes for Dan Pike will never again find psilocbyes and that lake whatcom will die a horrible death to the hands of the reality market. So dont listen to the "I like pike" adds, instead think of "down with dan".

lets see that shit cardboard

that still the home patch from way back when?  added more chips or what?

I have literally picked a handful of cyanescens this year, just haven't been into it like I used to be really.  I did make it out to check on these recently though, main patch is getting old, but they're spreading around the area a little.  I think they're cyanofibs...

and some blue stropharias

ah finally some photos of the real fibs. Yeah those definitely are not the same thing that happens in the bay area. I think it's been shown already under a microscope with the ol bifurcated cystidia thing, but it's nice to see some photos. I can tell just by looking at them

Looks like by the end of next week we should have our normal Nov. weather back. There is nooooo way the season could end this early when it's been so good this far. I think it still has a few big booms in store for us.

I finally got some pics of the Gymnopilus spore prints and of the dried mushrooms. These were very heavy spore depositors. I got 3 dark prints per cap and probably could have gotten 4 or 5 if i didnt decide to dry them all out.

The spore prints:

The dried mushrooms:

Notice the different gill colors:

I believe luteofolius have yellow gills until they mature correct? As I didnt spore print the yellow gilled cap because it also had greening on the cap and I didnt feel that it was a different species. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Has anyone else found any Gym's this season?

Happy Hunting!

I am really getting concerned here seeing all these  blue-staining fungi being picked around the PNW. Do you guys realize that by eating these things you'll end up with blue-stained brains? Think about it, Do you really want blue-stained brains?

I took my dogs to the coast today, and found one little patch of dried up cyans and a couple of small chanterelles. I wish it would rain soon!

Made a decent find today at my wooded patch. Around a 100 grams wet and many of them were the dryest i've ever seen and still grow. Sorry I dont have any pictures but i'm waiting to get a new camera. We all need to do the rain dance for luck!
