Yeah, I would've missed them for sure.
Matt, clean off that amanita, it looks like effin' islands in lava.

I thought this might be a reasonable place to ask -
When there's fully developed mushrooms around and then rain is brought on and continues for several days does that kill or even effect the potency of the shroom?
I was going to go out looking today. Just wondering.

swung by my spot again for the hell of it, scoured some more areas nearby.
 pins on the way!
decided to swing by my subbalteatus patch for the hell of it too, they had stopped fruiting a few weeks ago when the cold rolled in.

turns out i was a few days late!!!!!
they had already started to rot, but they were up in abundance!
also found a gymnopilus luteofolius on woodchips
 mmmm see that green?
and this pic of for curecat!

thanks for the tek curecat, got three different types of mushrooms going here, cant wait to see the results!!!

Nice finds notapillow...man, I gotta keep hunting. I went out for a few hours today and found some really nice locales with tons of chipped hardwood and mushrooms, mushrooms everywhere, but none I want to eat...:( You give me hope, though. They're out there in Portland somewhere...just hiding from me!
Kudos on the finds everyone! Think good thoughts for me, I hope to discover my first patch sometime soon!

how much rot is acceptable? I found some cyans today that I was a bit late on. I didn't even touch a few of them but others I grabbed. Would you ingest this?

I just went out for a quick night swoop by my new dream patch. a few folks walked right by me as i was picking , might have crushed presious pins
but no matter there are hundreds still sitting.
here is todays haul
over 130! fruits never have i dreamed of having a day of hunting like this that new patch rush is intense
also i saved all disturbed woodchips and peices of habbitat in a tuperwere container
should i leave this closed? open? should i put damp paper towels in there with it? vent holes?
happy hunting pnw
