Picked these on thursday from someones front yard in Vancouver. I knocked on the door and asked the woman that was home if I could photograph/pick them. I went back Friday and picked the rest. The amount pictured on the paper towels is less than half of what I got. It's a tiny amount, but it's a start.

after i called quits for the day i stumbled upon my first ever major patch. unfortunately very sketch location, no time to choose, just grab whatever you can fit in your hat in 3 seconds and bounce. couldnt be happier, thanks portland!

Is it necessary to use scissors if you're careful with the mycelium?

you would have done the same. the myc. has been transplanted already to a safer location. 2 yards from someones front door and a bush sticker on their car in a millionaire neighborhood... that was less than a quarter of the patch, i will have to think of a way to harvest them appropiately... it's so big that the owners might go out and buy fungicide, so please dont tell me i am wrong.

just go at night. or be cutty aqbout it. my patches last year where in islands inbetweet 2 way traffic. so dont say it was too sketchy to take some extra care.
develope some tactics. pretend to fix a bike tire. or have secret pockets on the iside of your jacket, thats what i got

any of you would have done the same, if not youd have been caught. you will never see a pic of the patch, but i assure you its hot. theres many fruits rotting already the spores have been realeased a long time ago, none of them were even caramel colored anymore

don't be a jackass and tell us what we would or would not have done. as a tip, during mushroom season i let my thumb nails stay a little long, so i can shear the mushroom stipes loose from the bases between the thumb-tip and side of my forefinger if i'm in a hurry. otherwise, i hold the substrate down allong the sides of the base by two fingers and pull the mushroom up with the other hand. both work well and are friendly enough to the colony at large.
i've always said the greatest detriment i've seen to a woodlover patch [short of removing ft^3 or more of substrate] is trampling.

i dont want to be under citizens arrest by some bush freak, in between 2 islands of traffic is chill compared to this, as stealthy as i was, i was probably seen, because its inevitable. hopefully the owners havent destroyed the patch, if they did see me. if theres a patch in front of a cop stations door. do you just ignore it or grab what you can before you blink?

Hey,Ya once the Mycellium, starts to grow on to the card board,You can add more layers,Make sure that you peel one side of the card board off,so that the inside Corgrated bumps are exposed, make sure caed board is moist first it helps with the card board peeling apart, place the bump side down on the Mycelliun growing through the other piece of cardboard,U can build this mycellium cake best in a tubber ware storage container with a lid,I drill holes for ventalation.then once I build a cardboard cake, I pour on soaked wood chippes,I then cover with a 2 inch layer of Dirt, then i throw on some grass seed, then water,Make sure there are drain holes in botom of storage container, make with a drill,Place Container in the Shady,Cool area ,water 2-3 times a month threw-out summer, the dirt and grass will help keep mycellium collonized till fall, and then the nw rains come and do the watering, and soon enough,ur fruit will emerge from the top on the grassy container...
