Nice finds Tec9.
Psily and I went out for a bit today and those pins are coming along nicely. Don't think they'll make it through the weekend though. We'll see...

Nope, you really didn't, that was just greed.
Edit: You beat me to it Soularize. Yeah, everything I've found so far has been in areas that I know are watered or newly planted areas, where I assume they have been watering.

<--- Take it.
There's no reason to be picking pins, period. You're screwing everyone when you do it and since all you really care about is you, yes, you are screwing yourself too.
Are pins more potent gram per gram than fully developed mushrooms? Absolutely. Is half a patch of pins equal to half a patch of mature mushrooms? Not even close.
There's NO reason for it. Everyone here who puts in a half-assed effort will find more mushrooms than they know what to do with. Unfortunately, even the ones who deserve them least.
The season hasn't really even begun. How many pics of cyans are there in this whole 10 pages of WAY too much fluffy, filler shit? A few finds? I've been picking cyans for years and have years worth of patches to go to. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the people who've been picking the longest are going to be finding them the earliest. I went out today for a couple hours, just hunting, places I've never been to and didn't find shit. Well except some stunzii patches but that doesn't count :P
Point is peak season is a long ways off. Don't get so uptight, you don't need to pick pins. You're not desperate, which only makes you look greedy. Relax, be patient, there's months of fruitfullness ahead of us.
Now no more talking. This threads for confirmed pictures. Blah.

The season's far from over. It's usually just getting started around this time. This last flush is going to be hurting without rain and with all the wind, so recover what you can. But as soon as the rains start again, it's on. This is supposed to be a la nina season, which could mean we're picking into Jan/Feb.

Oh sure, we're still finding things. And definitely on the night missions :P But we'll need some more rain till anything is worth taking pics of. Most everything is looking like this right now...

And don't get me wrong, the dry is getting to the mushrooms but giving away patches doesn't help them any either. I can understand leaves but damn, you might as well put a spotlight on them if you do this.

Season almost over? Oh... oh yes. It is. Don't even bother looking anymore, just stay inside so you don't disappoint yourselves.
Psily and I were up in Bham today. Found this place a few years ago. There were a few patches last year but we've really been waiting for it to blow up.
It finally did.
Just to show you what we were up against, this place is a couple acres large and we weren't able to cover most of it before we got tired of picking. You couldn't take a step without crushing them.

There were lots of mushrooms there, here's some cyans hanging out with agaricus.

About an hour hunched over is all we could handle, so we left a lot more than we took but we still took quite a bit

Here's a few from the other day...

And then of course the ones where you kick yourself for letting the patch go unattended so long...
