What the hell is wrong with me? I live in Portland and I cannot seem to find anything ever! I found some random inactive psilocybe spp last season and that was it............. I need to find some patches.
I am going to be positive that it will happen.

riding around on a bike is a great idea. I should have thought of that. I found some really great spots in portland that had nothing yet to offer. i am sicker than hell right now too, so i am not going to be getting out much. Thats okay though, i have a lot of homework to do.
I am rambling, sorry. I am really out of it from this cold.

You just made me sooooooooo happy. I dont know where your patch is, but just that someone has some makes me happy. I know that many of you do, but i dont ever hear about them, and after many outings I have yet to find any. I even went to Seattle this weekend for an urban hunt(non found). It seems that the majority of urban finds are in the Seattle area.
Spore print those fruits onto your dark clothes and go for a walk for me. Johnny Appleseed style.

Maybe they were beat up by the rain or maybe a dog running on the trail.?

What's that lacey-looking plant there?
It looks like Herb robert. A very invasive non native that sucks ass! I hate it. i do habitat restoration and this one is on my top five list of worst invasives.

you should get one of those new "scratch and sniff" computer screens. They rule.

It does look a little different than herb robert, but also it looks a little similar. I am sure now looking at this picture that its not herb robert.

I found another patch. Its bigger. But the lack of rain and cold temps has dried all of the fruits out. But it is still another patch. Last week nothing now three patches! When it rains it pours.

Habitat. look how big it is!
Its in this little rich neighborhood on a quiet little road. I wonder what people are thinking when they drive by and see me so very interested in something there on the ground?

I think that its the limited patches. We need a Johnny Appleseed of sorts, if you know what i mean.

Dang Jaymes. Those little buggers dropped so many spores. Non of my finds printed well at all. I have not tried the spores in a bottle trick, but I have wanted to. I did however do the blender tek, and it is working very well. I think it will work with spores, but you should dilute it more. You could get a lot more water in there and still be effective. Imagine what a spore syringe looks like. You can hardly see any spores at all and they work. So I think that you could spread it out a lot more. Peace.
