there is more than one species in that pile of mushrooms and i dont think i saw a single one that even closely resembled a lib. unless u care to prove otherwise. they appaear to be bruising orangeish/brownish, common with conocybe and panaeolina.

found so many subbs today, i could probably sink a boat with them,

 subbs
also came across what i thought was the cyanofibrillosa HQ

but after a closer view

bah, how am i ever going to have a philosophical conversation with a galerina?
also found what i believe to be psilocybe silvatica, gelatinous separate pellicle and it bruised slightly cyan on the base of the stem.

they spore printed on my hand

psilocybin doesnt break down to make the blueing, psilocin is the suspected chemical, and im not sure how to answer your question.
no? i dont, know?
what do you mean all those hours of searching? what about your patch from last year? what about the pins you said were popping up when you started this thread.

i posted an id request but nobody has really responded yet, but i'm fairly certain that they are scaly purple gyms (Gymnopilus luteofolius). Check out the bluing on the stems.......
those are not luteofolius.
fortunately, they do appear to be gymns, and from the greening ide say they are active.
unfortunately they taste like earwax and you need about 2-3 times what u got there for something decent. if u dont know what earwax tastes like, you might consider tasting it before you taste these, as earwax is a bit milder.

BlimeyGrimey said: I also found a huge patch of 20-30 Amanita muscaria. I picked about 8 fully mature ones but I don't like the effects of Soma. I'll keep them in case a friend wants some or to use in a trade. I'll post pics of the cyans and muscaria once I figure out why I can't upload pics.
Is it alright to dry Amanitas in a heated food dehydrator?
From what I understand, Amanitas loose their "magic" when dryed. If you want to really experience them, eat them fresh.
i would not suggest this, consuming them fresh leads to sweating and vomiting, while everything melts around you, not fun. sundried is the best, and tea from sundried is better.

so instead of using my long fingernails and clipping one at a time, today i brought my scissors and cut clusters at a time. i swung by this morning, took a few pics, then picked a few caps. while i was cutting this elderly couple walked by on a path in the distance, i could hear the lady say, "what is that boy doing?" and the elderly man said "hes one of them hippy folk trying to identify mushrooms"
LOL!
i couldnt help but smile and wish them a happy morning.
heres some habitat of my pygmy cyans! at full maturity, they only get 1/2" to 1" in height.

all in all, and i snipped a few pins while collecting some clusters all in one snip, i harvest this:

 small but potent
gotta love them pygmy's!!!

swung by my spot again for the hell of it, scoured some more areas nearby.
 pins on the way!
decided to swing by my subbalteatus patch for the hell of it too, they had stopped fruiting a few weeks ago when the cold rolled in.

turns out i was a few days late!!!!!
they had already started to rot, but they were up in abundance!
also found a gymnopilus luteofolius on woodchips
 mmmm see that green?
and this pic of for curecat!

thanks for the tek curecat, got three different types of mushrooms going here, cant wait to see the results!!!
