aimless thoughts on quantum consciousness

i have a paltry familiarity with quantum mechanical ideas. i was wondering if anyone who has perhaps a better understanding could answer this question: it seems that the problem of consciousness and quantum mechanics is that if the postulates of quantum mechanics were true then reality should be much more bizzare than it is. solid objects shouldn't exist, the world should be in a state of constant flux and probability should be the rule. we dont' see that. we see solid things and they exhibit predictable quantifiable behavior. the question is ...why? my question is ..why can't we just accept that the world predicted by quantum theory is real and that the world we see around us is just that same reality filtered through the brain. the brain takes the world of quantum flux and converts it to an easily managable, predictable, coherent reality with predictable events and solid objects. i need to read more ..but this question occured and i just wanted to throw it out there.

If this was the question: why can't we just accept that the world predicted by quantum theory is real and that the world we see around us is just that same reality filtered through the brain?
...then this is my answer: Who says we don't?

i'm going to read Ornsten's "The Psychology of Consciousness" and Bohm's "Wholeness and the Implicate Order" before i post any more confused questions. thanks for the reply.

Read the Dancing Wu Li Masters Gary Zukav explains exactly your premise, shows how westerners' ideas of quantum mechanics are very close to eastern philosophy. The title of the book is the essence, we "dance" with our reality hence, this is where the mushroom experience is brilliant, it allows you to experience reality in quantum mechanics perspectives
