I tried to find a closet like the Martha Tek one, but couldn't find one at Home Depot. I found this on eBay, and thought it might work. If not, does anyone have a link to the Martha style closets?

It looks like it would work, but $33 is a bit steep. I saw one at wally world today like 6'x13"x11" for $8..it had a clear top, but opaque sides.

you'll need to humidify it since it's supposedly a green house, i suppose it should hold in humidity well, though i might be wrong
the biggest problem will be sealing off your port to get humidity in a hose will be hard to seal
have you seen those little mist makers they have in the decor shops? like the bowl with the little light and water ionizer well, a friend of mine is planning to use one of those in a small dish of water i think it'll work well, would be alot easier for you to seal a hole the size of the cord than it would the tubing for the classic humidifier
one of these things, if you make sure to get one new that hasn't had incense put into it, then i think it has a chance, you'll have to keep the water level up or the motor will burn out, but they are pretty tough in my experience
how bout one those dog dish things you can screw a 2 liter bottle into? if you sterilized this and used sterile water, and possibly cleaned it regularly, you might have an automated terrarium
just gotta figure out your FAE

Would a cool mist humidifier break down if I just put the entire unit into the terrarium? Is that why everyone runs hoses?

in all truth, i don't know, i'm still in the perlite stage, most i've added were bubbler wands
but this is also an idea, find a way to put a big fat layer of perlite in the bottom, like a short but wide tub, or possibly line it with some plastic

Yeah, if you put the entire unit in, it will slay it. I tried to encase an ultrasonic inside my incubator. I had the in-take ducted out the side of the incubator and still got condensation that eventually killed my ultrasonic. I gasket-ed and used silicone. What I do now is run an ultrasonic inside of a rubber maid connected to another rubber maid with hoses. The ultrasonic is pulling in at least semi clean air supplied by another HEPA rubber maid. I have the air intakes on the rubber maid (HEPA Container) covered with filter discs and the lid has a bead of silicone to help. I route the air out using 1/4 inch hoses, these are running to the ultrasonic rubber maid thats sealed off. (Silicone bead around the lid and quick tight clamps.) to sum it up... The air intake gets kinda clean air, and the moisture is routed out using more 1/4 tubing. I think a desiccant could be used in the ultrasonic tub to avoid any build up. Maybe steal 1,000 packets of silica from shoe stores.

Putting a coolmist humidifier INSIDE your green house actually makes it last longer. The reason people put hoses on it is that it's easy FAE and you're not wasting valuable space in your terrarium. but if you put the hose on, you create static pressure which will eventually burn out your motor.
As for ultrasonic, no clue

I've posted at least 500 times that in my opinion, that's the best way to humidify a small greenhouse. Cut windows and/or slits in the plastic to allow for air exchange.
Very few growers run hoses, and those that do usually re-work the system when their humidifier fails after 90 days or less. RR

hey guys, i'm sure this has been considered before, but what if in that 4-tier greenhouse, you were to put a few small PLANTS, wouldn't this provide FAE?
the plants on the bottom, would get all the falling cO2 and thrive, and then release oxygen to float back up to the mushrooms
this kind of goes along the lines of the live terrarium, but this wouldn't require trying to keep some moss alive, just some decorative house plants

The rate at which they process CO2 and release oxygen is very slow. You will not notice a difference by putting plants in your terrarium/greenhouse.

what about like 20-25 of those windowsill plants? do mushrooms really put out THAT much c02?
plants can suffer very badly from FAE even in a large room, they can use up all of the c02 in like a day
specifically i'm speaking of how much marijuana plants can suffer from bad aeration
from what you're saying it seems like mushrooms put out massive amounts of c02
